What is it?
Summer Skills are a range of FEE-FREE*, practical, bite-sized training opportunities.
These courses are focused on building skills to suit a range of in-demand industries and are aimed at providing you with a range of versatile skills that will give you that competitive edge.

*Training under JobTrainer is fee-free and fully funded by the NSW Government. Eligibility criteria applies.
Am I eligible?
Here is your checklist!
- Are you aged 16 – 24 years of age and have permanently left school?
- Are you also living or working in NSW (Australian/New Zealand citizen or humanitarian visa holder)?
- Students must also meet the criteria listed under the Smart and Skilled initiative of NSW Government.
What you need to know
Places are limited. Enrolments open 26th of September 2022 and close on the 30th of November 2022.
Students will have up until the 28th of April 2023 to submit their assessments.

Statement of Attainment in Hospitality
This training applies to frontline hospitality service personnel whose jobs involve food handling, the sale and service of alcohol, and customer service; and who must comply with laws of particular relevance to these job functions.
Units of Comepetency:
- SITHFAB002 Provide responsible service of alcohol
- SITXFSA001 Use hygienic practices for food safety
- SITXCCS006 Provide service to customers
Theory: Online
Practical: Various classroom locations across Greater Sydney and Central Coast.

Statement of Attainment in Cafe & Club
This training applies to frontline hospitality service personnel whose jobs involve food handling, barista skills, the sale and service of alcohol, and the provision of gaming services; and who must comply with laws of particular relevance to these job functions.
Units of Competency:
- SITXFSA001 Use hygienic practices for food safety
- SITHFAB005 Prepare and serve espresso coffee
- SITHFAB002 Provide responsible service of alcohol
- SITHGAM001 Provide responsible gambling services
